Talk:Noise List by Day and Location
From The World Ends With You
Thanks whoever corrected the Tradishfrog/Funkfrog mistake. Those two look so alike that I mistook one for another ^^;; Eskia 06:30, 4 May 2008 (UTC)
I'll be leaving on a month long trip soon and I won't have access to my DS for the entire trip. Could someone finish this list up? If not, then I'll take care of it when I get back. Sorry for leaving it like this >.< Eskia 21:30, 6 May 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Tracking by Symbol
Might be worth making a separate page for collecting this information in a different way
What I've been doing is recording what noise I fight, in which symbols, in which location, in which day. (Only for specific locations though.)
Example:
- 3-7, Shibu-Q Heads, Medium, 21/40/55
- 3-7, Shibu-Q Heads, Large Shark, 28/36/55
- 3-7, Shibu-Q Heads, Medium Taboo, 14/36/40
Problems:
- Deciding upon names for the noise symbols. My "large shark" name represents the large symbol that looks like a shark's mouth, for example.
- Huge amount of data to collect and track.
If anyone else has been tracking noise in this way, it might be worth recording somewhere.

- What do the numbers after the Noise symbol name mean? Angel14995 22:13, 7 May 2008 (UTC)
- I think the numbers are the numbers of the noise. I was thinking about doing it this way originally but then I couldn't think of how to make it look good... You could actually use my current graph to speed this up because the noise symbol and the type of noise that appear in it tend to be similar. Small Frog symbols tend to hold frogs, sprogs, and carcinos. The other small one is like an avian symbol and that's where you get ravens and bats from. Mediums tend to hold minks, boomers and foxes. The shorter medium seems to have corehogs in it alot. Large symbols have bears and rhinos. Large Sharks tend to hold water types such as jellies, sharks and popguins. Large elephants hold drakes and well... elephants. This should be taken with a grain of salt as there are other types that come along with them but in general it's what I noticed.
If you decide to do it this way, best of luck to ya ^^ Eskia 23:09, 7 May 2008 (UTC)
- I like this idea a lot. It might be possible to rip sprites from the game if someone has the capability and use those to represent the actual symbols for the various noise groups in the game. Also, I was wondering about a better way to group the 'areas' certain noise appear in, since it gets really messy when certain noise can pop up in nearly every area. Maybe it's alright to trunchinate to 'All areas' if a certain noise appears in all possible areas within a certain day? And if there's just one missing area, it could be trunchinated to 'All areas except _______', just to try to keep the list of areas to a minimum. KitsuneRisu 05:39, 22 May 2008 (UTC)
I was about to start that data collection myself but you beat me to the punch. Regardless I'll still do it, but if you're still deciding what to name each symbol, the BradyGames Official Strategy Guide names the symbols Small/Medium/Large/Huge mammal, Small/Medium aquatic, Flyer, Pig, Reaper, Ovis Cantus, Tigris Cantus, Leo Cantus, and Canor. Another possibility that I would want to help in is the frequency of appearance or ration of specific symbols. Geoberos 04:56, 11 June 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Additonal Location
Earlier today I encountered a fifenfrong in Trail of the Sinner. Can someone please verify that this and post that location in addition to Trail of the Bygone? DigitalDragoon 11:06, 4 June 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Add Links?
Perhaps all of the tables should contain links to the individual noise pages and Shibuya locations? Telling people to just "see the noise list" doesn't exactly sound friendly.

[edit] Clear Game Optional Bosses
Would it be a lot less confusing if the optional bosses that were unavailable until you beat the game should be tagged (Clear Game Optional Boss) or something similar? It misled me until I realized they only appeared when you revisit the chapter after beating the game in a quest to find the reports.
[edit] Additional Wolf Location
Weird. I just ran in to a Garage Wolf in a Taboo Noise fight at Cadoi City in Week 3 Day 7 on Easy. *shrug* EchoNull 18:58, 16 June 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Question
Any way to make fifenfrog more easily findable? Can't find one on the shibuya river areas in another day. Fought EVERY FROG NOISE IN ALL THE ROOMS 3 TIMES and he's still not shown up. Thanks in advance. 72.147.105.162 23:34, 22 July 2008 (UTC)
- They're ridiculously rare. The only thing you can really do is keep looking. Gwogobo 00:22, 25 July 2008 (UTC)
Gwogobo's right, they are rare. But chaining seemed to help for me...I found one on my 5th battle, but not one single pasty frog after that... just my two cents. Kariya 19:20, 25 July 2008 (UTC)
