Since when does Neku use Psychomancy? I thought that was Shiki. Skulls 23:29, 7 July 2008 (UTC)
- If Neku didn't use psychomancy, then he wouldn't be able to use any of the pin's psychs and would consequently be erased on Week 1, Day 1.
- Shiki primarily attacks through limited use of Psychokinesis, which involves her manipulating a certain stuffed
pigcat for everyone's general amusement.
- Neku also uses Psychokinesis on occasion, but he uses it to throw things like cars around instead. Tessara 01:30, 8 July 2008 (UTC)

Neku's spoken quotes
Edit
I need to know about some lines Neku say and, since I'm not a native english speaker, I'm missing. What does Neku says at the end of a combo? And when he doesn't like some food, something like "Bass"? Thank you for your time. 83.45.178.91 00:30, 13 November 2008 (UTC)
- I believe after eating something he doesn't like, he says "Gross". I don't have access to my DS atm, so I cannot verify it nor anything else. Synchroblst 21:50, 13 November 2008 (UTC)
- No, he says "Ugh, Pass" when you give him something he doesn't like. Klowd1661 20:03, 16 November 2008 (UTC)
- Eating comments have already been noted here: Food#Effects. As for ending combos, I think Neku can say several things and I can't even make out some of them. Silktail 23:52, 13 November 2008 (UTC)
- The combo line I'm interested, he says something like "Baiken". IlDucci 13:59, 14 November 2008 (UTC)
- Could it be "Bring it", or have you got that one? I'm even not sure if that's from a combo though. Silktail 23:39, 14 November 2008 (UTC)
- SFX 854 is "Like it?" GipFace 00:26, 15 November 2008 (UTC)
- Sounds like "Like it?". Can I ask with the file names for next lines? Or should I go somewhere else, and get all the issues I have? IlDucci 10:54, 15 November 2008 (UTC)
- At first I thought it was "I can't--", but it's definitely "Like it?", if anyone's still wondering. Can I ask where you're getting these files, GipFace? --Marshmello 20:55, 6 January 2009 (UTC)

Move page
Edit
The articles for all of the other characters, with the exception of those whose surnames are not known and those who are exclusively referred to by a nickname, all use the character's full name in the article title. I have attempted to move this page to Neku Sakuraba, but it cannot be moved there because that page is a redirect. I'm not very familiar with how these things work... is there a solution to this? --Marshmello 19:38, 1 February 2009 (UTC)
- You can always to the good old copypaste-the-entire-page method if you want. XienZo 22:21, 1 February 2009 (UTC)
- That works, I guess. Page moved. --Marshmello 01:48, 2 February 2009 (UTC)
4th Game?
Edit
For the last time.
For all we know, Neku did NOT play a fourth game. In fact, it is highly likely he did not - Kitaniji told him he would be disqualified from all games 'beyond the next' - on Joshua, Day 7, in fact.
It appears he played a fourth game because he wakes up in the scramble ("What the hell?!?"), but people are standing staring at him, so he didn't play a fourth game. When he wakes up at the end of the game, he only thinks he's in the UG. He's actually in the RG. I'm goign to go ahead and remove that phrase now. Archaeic 16:28, 12 February 2009 (UTC)
- However, it is possible that his duel with Joshua at the very end counted as a game; Joshua even said he collected his entry fee again. XienZo 02:30, 13 February 2009 (UTC)
- I'd be more inclined to assume that the final 'Game' was bullshit. Joshua may have claimed that he had taken Neku's entry fee, but that doesn't make it true. Neku didn't have a timer, and he didn't get erased, despite the Secret Reports confirming that he failed. Joshua was just playing him. --24.89.231.120 22:17, 13 February 2009 (UTC)
- I could see that happening too. However, the game skips the few seconds between Joshua telling Neku to pick up the gun and the duel cutscene, so the technical stuff, like the timer, could have happened then. Also, the way they were brought back to life is probably unusual; Rhyme was brought back, even though she lost, so its possible that Neku lost, but still was brought back to life, only missing the entry fee to the "duel" game. XienZo 22:52, 13 February 2009 (UTC)
- Not to randomly butt in with questions, but as to Josh telling Neku that he'd already collected his entry fee, what if it was not an object, person, or whatever that had to do with his direct surroundings, but his mortality? His ability to die? For all we know 'Joshua' was the one invincible, and this would be the final decision wheter to spare his life, and that of the others, or not? Lets not even talk about the world around them. - ADDED:
- Adding to the above comment, it might have been his ability to compete in the game. Maybe that deep down, Neku enjoyed playing the game because it gave him purpose, which he didn't have in the RG. This is just something that popped into my head when I read your comment. --- Quote1
- A thought...If Neku didn't play a fourth game, then why did the show the "7 days Later" text after he comes to at the scramble crossing? 99.253.79.4 07:52, 23 June 2009 (UTC)
- It could be that they just waited for a week before meeting each other again. ferailo9 19:44, December 1, 2009 (UTC)

Another theory, is it not true that for a PLAYER to die they must be ERASED? Seeing that the game was still going and the shot was physical <from the RG>, perhaps he didn't truly get erased or die this way? 83.81.125.101 15:46, 26 March 2009 (UTC)
- The reason Rhyme is present in the end was because Hanekoma was able to save her Soul before it was lost, and she was therefore not truly erased. But we are told that failure to complete a mission results in erasure, so unless in his final moments Hanekoma went through the intermediate step of binding his Soul to a pin, Neku did not get erased, and therefore when he was 'defeated' by the Composer it was probably not the Game he lost, but a test of will. --24.89.231.120 19:16, 16 February 2009 (UTC)
- actualy, "erasure" is not complete. when you are erased, you are pulled apart, your entire being sepperated. however, sometimes, people can pull themselves back together into a
- new form, wich is what rhyme did by becoming a noise. the pin was created by henekoma to pull rhyme back from the noise deminsion to the ug. also, if joshua says neku can play a fourth game, then neku can play a fourth game. joshua is more powerfull than kitaniji. a final note, my theory is similar to someone aboves theory about nekus entry fee for the final game. my guess is the entree fee was his will to win........kinda cheap though, even for joshua....Sonicfan221 21:38, July 24, 2010 (UTC)
Galazy Angel connection?
Edit
The Trivia section states: "In the manga "Galaxy Angel", one main character is named Milfeulle Sakuraba, coincidentally sharing the same last name as Neku. This may be an unseen connection."
I don't see this as relevant at all. It's not like 'Sakuraba' is a word they made up for the game; it's an actual name belonging to actual people, real and fictional. Neku is not secretly connected to everyone whose name is Sakuraba. Unless this Milfeulle person has other notable similarities to Neku, or parallels can be drawn between Galaxy Angel and TWEWY, this piece of trivia is not worth keeping. --Marshmello 16:53, 9 May 2009 (UTC)
Similarity to Squall Leonhart
Edit
Yeah, so Neku does have a lot in common with Squall Leonhart from Square/Square Enix's Final Fantasy VIII.
- Namely, the switch from anti-social attitudes to friendly demeanor by the end of the game.
- The memory problems that aren't explained until maybe halfway through their respective games.
- The names of each character portraying them in some way (Neku - Sound, Meaning the distortion caused by his closing everyone else out and the headphones, Sakuraba - Cherry Blossom garden i.e. the moral of the game as everyone's secret garden, Squall - A storm, could mean his angst and emotional ups and downs during his game, Leonhart - Squall has been referenced to a lion on multiple occasions and such his heart is one. Anyway, very late idea, but could it be noted?SonofIvalice25px 02:44, November 16, 2009 (UTC)
- I think you just described about 50% (anti-social, they always get friendly) of 10% (with memory problems) of 99% (with meaningful names) of video game characters. Especially of Japanese origin.Groxx 18:29, November 16, 2009 (UTC)
- Maybe, but these two especially. Cloud doesn't count (retarded head case), and I thought about Squall since they were close to the same age with the similar time-altering kind of stories (Neku's death is reversed and Squall sets up a time paradox after beating the last boss that eternally brings him to the same point at his life).SonofIvalice25px
- Aah, that certainly lends a bit of strength. I haven't played FF8. Could have lent a bit of influence, though I'd generally say that as a very large amount of the game relies on a couple of those choices, it'd either be a huge amount (ie, duplicate a winning strategy (*shock* Square would never do such a thing!)), or next to none (started with that idea independently). Still generally against the comparison being in the wiki (no offense), though it is interesting.Groxx 17:43, November 17, 2009 (UTC)
Point made and well noted. I shall argue this topic no more. BTW, no offense taken, I like a good debate XD.SonofIvalice25px
Fan conjecture
Edit
I removed the following from the Trivia section. Please use the talk page for the discussion of possibilities that are not confirmed by the canon, or better yet use the TV Tropes page devoted to it. 76.11.8.42 00:47, February 17, 2010 (UTC)
- Popular theories are that the entry fee was Neku's bullet, Shiki and Beat, Neku's ability to see Joshua, or Neku's freedom from the Reaper's Game, or even his friendship with Joshua. It is also possible his entry fee was his hatred of Joshua, which, if kept, would have allowed him to shoot without hesitation when joshua said 10.
Trivia
Edit
It says how Neku might have a knack for memorizing random things or is quite the scholar, well his entry fee was his memory, which he considered important to him so wouldn't that mean he has a good memory or something --{{SUBST:nosubst|User:Hemu/sig}}
..IIRC, he gets an amnesia at that point of time, and for my knowledge, amnesia only makes you forgot a part of something i.e like in Neku's case, not the whole part of people's memory, and if this happens then Neku wouldn't have these kinds of personalities to begin with. Neku's appearance in KH3D
Edit
He's there, so be it. We might as well just add it to trivia, it's just a cameo (or is it..?). White Flash, call upon my name. 16:04, September 15, 2011 (UTC)
- Just keep it as a separate piece of trivia for now. White Flash, call upon my name. 17:51, September 15, 2011 (UTC)
