Talk:Mingle Mode
From The World Ends With You
Hey. Would this section be appropriate to add a list of possible "Alien" encounters? Seeing as how it's something exclusive to Mingle Mode. Just wondering. ElTipejoLoco 11:06, 3 May 2008 (UTC)

[edit] WiFi points & Mingle settings
Now, this could all be one nifty little coincidence, but I had something peculiar happen to me a few days ago. I brought the DS out into my office and set it about 5 feet from my wireless router. At the same time, I then limited the number of contacts to 3. I came back less than an hour later, and already 2 contacts had been found. Increasing the number of contacts to limit to 2 more interactions (all during the same Mingle session), less than an hour brought me another two aliens.
As opposed, a few nights earlier I left the DS on overnight in mingle mode, about 7 hours, and it only found 2 aliens.
I'm thinking, then, that if in the mingle menu you limit the number of contacts, it might generate aliens more quickly. Just a hypothesis, though. Shint 15:32, 3 May 2008 (UTC)
- sounds more like murphys law... (the less you need, the more you get and vice versa)
[edit] Advice on finding Aliens?
Hey, i have pretty much disregarded most pins that require MPP to evolve, since i live out in the country and have extremely limited access to others with both a DS and TWEWY.
Anyone have any advice on how to attract aliens so I can try to evolve some of the sicko pins that require MPP.
Thanks, ill check back on this later.Deanos420 19:06, 15 May 2008 (UTC)
[edit] finding aliens
I've had no trouble with getting 1-2 aliens overnight so far , and since mpp counts 9(or 10?) times as much as bpp , its usually more than enough to make them evolve by filling the rest of the gauge with bpp.. now , really , with 200 mpp you'd need 1800 bpp in order to end up with a 50/50 bar... and most pins evolve with less than 2000pp , so there shouldn't be any problem.
