Street Jam

Street Jam is a negative psych found in several brands. It is activated by blowing or shouting into the microphone. A speaker blast will hit all enemies on the screen. Each Street Jam pin also has the chance to afflict enemies with a negative status. Regular Street Jam pins are categorized under A class.

Street Jam is used for its status affliction rather than damage potential. It has only 30% efficiency and does not deal its hits quickly. In addition, it has some of the most unforgiving boot times of any psych. Therefore, the recommended way to use Street Jam is to activate it for only a moment in order to conserve the pin gauge. Immobility and Defense Break are the two best negative statuses, so the three pins that warrant closer analysis are Shout, Lolita Mic, and LIVE!
This psych is avoided in the postgame. Players would rather deal as much damage as possible instead of toying with negative statuses.

Shout is strictly better, but it is hardly noticeable.
[edit] Shout vs. Black Rose
Black Rose cannot be obtained in the maingame without a mingle shop. Therefore, Shout is a suitable main game pin if the player requires Defense Break, especially against vulnerable bosses. Remember that Shout cannot reboot, so the pin must be used wisely during long chain battles.
[edit] LIVE! vs. Stopper Spark
Stopper Spark is an easily missed pin that is obtained on week 3, day 5. LIVE! will immobilize enemies just as well, although it may not come into play during the first chain of a battle.

Since LIVE! immobilizes enemies, it is generally better than Shout. However, more enemies are immune to Immobility than Defense Break.
