These pins increase the drop rate. Although the psych is useful when trying to gain new pins, it takes up a pin spot that could have been used for a more effective pin damage-wise. While Mother Lode only increases the drop rate, Grandmother Lode greatly increases it, but causes you to gain no pin points or experience points. Pig is the only Grandmother Lode Pin in the entire game. All Mother Lode Pins can be acquired in the chapter Another Day after having completed the main game.
