Base cap is 100 for each stat, but equips and stickers can make this value over 100. Here is a suggested balanced setup for the entire team suited for final time attack assuming you got all 9 attack and defense stickers for each partner:
Neku - 188 ATK 203 DEF +950 HP
- Samurai Helm (+20/+20/+500, +combo map time, +hits time)
- Pi-Face's Coat (+15/+25/+200, puck power 3)
- The Dead Slammurai (+10/+15/+50, puck power 2)
- My Phones (+43/+43/+200, +hits time)
Puck power items give you a 5X puck right from the get go and are needed on Neku, since you'll be switching partners. Samurai Helm is the headwear that grants the most HP and will carry over to each partner. This is a solid, obvious setup, and I don't see how it can be much better without sacrificing puck power.
Shiki - 204 ATK 159 DEF +325 HP
- Samurai Wig (+30/+0/+0, dual resistance 1)
- Pi-Face's Jeans (+30/+15/+100, combo map "upgrade" 2)
- Mr. Mew Suit (+20/+20/-100, resist knockback)
- Her Stuffed Animal (+15/+15/+250, Shiki fusion +3)
The reason the jeans are on Shiki and not Beat is because its ability is actually a curse. Longer combo maps mean that it takes longer to pack the puck back to Neku, and it also means that there is a higher chance of your combo being interrupted. Shiki gets the easiest bosses (besides noise #94), so the jeans are dumped on her. Samurai Wig is the headwear with the highest attack, which should help when you face noise #94. The Mr. Mew Suit is a good all-around costume. Lastly, fusion +3 works because she is the first partner to come out.
Joshua - 174 ATK 162 DEF +525 HP
- Pirate Hat (+20/+3/+75)
- Lollipop's Parka (+10/+10/+300, dual resistance 2)
- Mrs. Claus (+10/+15/+75, regeneration 3)
- Shades' Headphones (+25/+25/+75, SOS powerup 2)
Since Joshua is not involved with noise #94, he gets the worst remaining items. Pirate Hat is the last uber headwear item. Mrs. Claus regenerates a little bit of what you lost in the previous rounds.
Beat - 200 ATK 209 DEF +2200 HP
- Pi-Face's Cap (+20/+25/+200)
- Patchy Biker Jacket (+21/+0/+75)
- Iron Maiden's One-piece (+20/+45/-75)
- Angel Feather (+30/+30/+2000, Joshua fusion +3)
Beat's emphasis is on defense, seeing as how he is handling the toughest bosses in the game. He gets the best headwear, the best costume that pads the stats, and the Angel Feather. Because we're out of uber tops and bottoms, we'll have to make do with a regular top, the Patchy Biker Jacket.
If you want to have nothing but oodles of attack, you can equip everyone with a Samurai Sword, the +53/+0/+0 accessory. Of course, it's a total pain to get four of them, and isn't worth the defense and HP loss unless you need to shave seconds off your time attack. I believe the maximum ATK Neku can have is 238 (Samurai Wig, Pi-Face's Jeans, Head Honcho, Samurai Sword). However, that setup only gets +5 DEF.
As for the best pure offensive setup in the game, it's what I dub Slapshot:
Neku - +76 ATK +69 DEF +25 HP
- Iron Maiden's One-piece
- Pi-Face's Jeans
- Biker Gloves
- Purple Sneaks
Partner - +37 ATK +55 DEF +256 HP (Assumes all 9 atk/def stickers obtained)
- The Dead Slammurai
- Pi-Face's Coat
- Heart Pochette
- Purple Sneaks
Wait, you say! Those stats stink! You say that you got 100+ attack with other setups! Well, the secret lies with those Purple Sneaks. They are the best shoes in the game! Can you believe they only cost 5100 yen? With four faster puck lv2 abilities stacked, your puck passes are instantaneous! In fact, it's not uncommon to see both screens with that large 5X damage sign!
Due to the WTFHAX puck, this setup shreds through enemies faster than conventional setups. If you need some HP for boss battles, switch out Heart Pochette for Angel Feather. You'll lose the instant puck pass, but it's still so fast that you'll barely notice it.
The stunning part of all this is that Purple Sneaks and Heart Pochette are available very early on, and most people fail to catch that pairing them to both players is a combo that transcends nearly everything else.
Alternative postgame Slapshot with more attack...
Neku: +89 ATK +62 DEF +350 HP
- Your [Beat's] Cap (+35/+0/+100, Beat fusion +3)
- The Dead Slammurai (+10/+15/+50, puck power 2)
- My Phones (+43/+43/+200, +hits time)
- Purple Sneaks (+1/+4/+0, faster puck 2)
Partner: +78 ATK +68 DEF +300 HP (assumes all 9 ATK/DEF stickers obtained)
- Pi-Face's Coat (+15/+25/+200, puck power 3)
- Maid Costume (+28/+25/+100) [NA/EU ONLY!]
- Biker Gloves (+25/+5/+0, faster puck 2)
- Purple Sneaks (+1/+4/+0, faster puck 2)
The instant puck is gone, but it's still super fast, and this setup takes advantage of Neku's headphones. I personally think this is better than the original because of the increased firepower. The partner has to go through the motions of his combo, anyway. If you are using Beat as your partner or are taking this setup to the final time attack, swap Beat's Cap and Pi-Face's Coat for better synergy.
I overlooked the Maid Costume because they improved it from the Japanese version! It's the uniform that provides the most attack, and you can even buy multiples of it! The only problem is that it requires a mastered King Arthur pin, so it's a pain to get. Substitute with Iron-Maiden's One-piece or another uniform if you don't have it. In fact, Maid Costume is so good, you should have it on all your partners for the final time attack!
Beat's Cap has the highest attack of all the headgear. If you need some more defense, switch it with Pi-Face's Jeans (+30/+15/+100). If you need even more defense and extra HP, the Samurai Helm (+20/+20/+500, +hits/combo time) works.
If you haven't beaten the game, the maingame Slapshot for both characters is: Lavender Lotus (+6/+6/+105, puck power 3) Heart Pochette (+2/+2/+6, faster puck 2) Purple Sneaks (+1/+4/+0, faster puck 2) Hat, top, or bottom of your choice
Lavender Lotus is expensive but is worth every penny. It is arguably the best maingame item you can purchase. Puck power 3 is simply that good.

If this is Shiki (which I think it is) then chances are, you're using it on enemies that aren't air-bourne. It's generally only effective on enemies that can fly, else it'll miss.

When you save, there's a Pin Mastery % which keeps track of all the pins you've mastered. Trashing pins for yen, and trading them for quests will take them out of the Mastery list (unless you had duplicates).
Also, if you evolve a pin, the pre-evolved form won't appear in your Mastery list, since you didn't actually master it.

I assume it gives the pin output bonus to the healing pin when you use it. That would explain why I recovered over 4K HP with around 1200HP max, with a 70% HP heal. =P

Right. The lightpuck can pass enough to become x5, so that's way more than enough to max out your health when you use a healing item with the puck on you... plus it passes the puck back! :D

Updated: And it seems like when equip certain atk pins, certain address will also get shift making some pin codes don't work. So, just use the code for Pin1 for now since the 1st one always stays the same

The following list has all known ways to trick mingle mode. If you have a way that is not listed, please post it in this topic.
You only need about 100 mingle pp for most pins, the rest can be done through bpp. If you want to be absolutely safe, 200 mingle pp should cover all pins.
Use your wireless pc card to broadcast a ds demo signal. This involves installing some custom drivers and using a third party program. It basically emulates what a ds download station would do.

Use the Wii's free nintendo channel and enable the ds demo downloads Go to Wii's online shop and purchase the nintendo channel (for free). Then go into the nintendo channel and pick a ds demo to broadcast.
Use multiple DS to broadcast a wireless signal. 1. Put each DS into a seperate pictochat room. Each room will count as a civvie. 2. Have another DS with a copy of TWEWY, put one copy in mingle mode and have the other one go in and out of mingle mode.
DS Download Station Got to your local gamestop/ebgames and ask if they have a download station, if they do that is civvie exp.

You missed one BTW.
Use ANY Wii game that uses wireless DS whatever, like the Wii's Pokemon game I forgot about.
Go into the Wii Shopping channel, buy the Nintendo Channel (should be under "Just Added" or whatever), select Nintendo Channel off the main menu, click "View All Titles", select "DS Demo" at the bottom, and choose a demo to broadcast. Once it says "Transmitting", you're good to go.
