The World Ends With You

"Splitting jelly madchesters may produce these mutants. They sometimes drop rare pins!"
— Noise Report

The Jelly Swechno is a red jelly Noise with light-blue tentacles in The World Ends with You and NEO: The World Ends with You. In the former, they only appear after spawning from Jelly Madchester.

Abilities[]

Passive Abilities[]

  • Drifter: The Jelly Swechno extends its smaller tentacles passively as it drifts around, causing damage and possibly immobilization upon contact with the player.

Active Abilities[]

  • Lightning Pass: If there are any other jelly Noise on the battlefield, Jelly Swechno will send out a lightning bolt to another Jelly noise, which will bounce between other Jelly noise. These will damage the player if they get in the way and cause Jelly Madchester that collect the damaging pass to use Jelly Mitosis.

Strategy[]

Jelly Swechno cannot clone themselves, so attacking Jelly Madchester first is best if the player wishes to stop them reproducing (due to their resistance to negative (long-ranged) psychs, it may be better to favor positive (close-ranged) psychs when attacking them). However, a player may want to purposely avoid attacking these Noise in order to allow them to create more enemies (possibly more Jelly Swechno in particular, as they give more EXP for their erasure) to defeat, and thus provide the player with more EXP. On the other hand, this might be a risky tactic, as the more jelly Noise that there are, the higher the chance of the player being struck by one of the lightning bolts that they pass among themselves.

NEO: The World Ends with You[]

Jelly Swechno can multiply themselves. Contrary to the listed text, there is very little way to prevent them from multiplying. However, erasing the original Noise will also erase all copies they have produced. The original Jelly Swechno can be identified from having graffiti markings inside its head, while its copies do not.

Name[]

The Jelly Swechno's name is a combination of "jelly" (as in jellyfish) and "swechno" (possibly a reference to Swedish techno music).
