"Be prepared—this rare and elusive frog will absorb both pos and neg psychs!"
— Noise Report

The Fifenfrog is a frog Noise in The World Ends with You that has a white body, red eyes, and red tattoos for its hind legs. Found only in the Shibuya River area during Another Day, this Noise appears rarely and it can take some time before a player encounters one. This Noise is unique in that it absorbs both positive (close-ranged) and negative (long-ranged) psych attacks to restore its own HP.

AbilitiesEdit

Passive AbilitiesEdit

  • +/- Absorption: The Fifenfrog absorbs both positive (close-ranged) and negative (long-ranged) psych attacks, which will in turn allow it to recover its own HP based on how much "damage" was absorbed. Damage from neutral psychs, Neku's partner, Fusion Attacks, and Cross Combos are not absorbed.

Active AbilitiesEdit

  • Leap: The Fifenfrog leaps onto the player, and then leaps off to deal moderate damage. The leap is homing to a degree and so it is difficult to avoid by moving normally. However, dashing while the frog is attempting to land on Neku, or before it has leapt off, is usually a good method of avoiding taking damage from the attack.
  • Bubbles: After standing still to inflate its throat sac, the Fifenfrog releases a number of bubbles that inflict damage on contact; damaging the bubbles will pop them (the bubbles are considered airborne, so ground-based attacks will not destroy them). Attacking the Fifenfrog while it's inflating its throat sac cancels the attack altogether.

StrategyEdit

The Fifenfrog absorbs both positive (close-ranged) and negative (long-ranged) psych attacks, so the player will be forced to either rely on their partner to cause damage, use neutral psych attacks, or simply resort to a Fusion attack.

NameEdit

The Fifenfrog's name may be a play on "fife" (a type of flute) and "frog".
