Drop Rate is the percent chance of Noise dropping a pin upon defeat. The drop rate for all pins is multiplied by your drop rate multiplier. Drop rates for pins will never exceed 100%. When a Noise is defeated, it will not drop more than one pin. Most drop rates are low to begin with, but there are a number of ways to increase the drop rate.

2. Curious Mushrooms and Absolute Shadow Ramen will permanently increase your drop rate multiplier once they digest. Curious Mushrooms increases your drop rate multiplier by one, and Absolute Shadow Ramen increases it by three. These two items are sold at Herbal Remedies (Shibu Dept. Store) and Shadow Ramen (Dogenzaka), respectively.
3. Wearing pins with the Mother Lode and Grandmother Lode lode psychs increases your drop rate multiplier by a set amount. Grandmother Lode is worth 8 stars, but Mother Lode's value is unknown, presumably 4 stars.
4. Engaging in a chain battles multiplies your drop rate multiplier by the number of reductions in the chain battle. This is temporary, lasting only for that chain battle. The multiplication takes place before the battle begins; your drop rate multiplier does not change between reductions.

The maximum drop rate before chain battle multiplication is 999.

Thus, the formula for total drop rate during a fight is: $Total Drop Rate = Base Drop Rate * (Max Level - Adjusted Level + Food Modifier + Lode Pins + 1) * Chain$

Some pins have a default drop rate that is so low you cannot get a 100% drop rate without utilizing chain battles. These are all of those pins:

• Noise 11 (Orchesprog):
• Easy: 5 Yen. Base drop rate 0.10%, 1000 multiplier needed
• Hard: 100 Yen. Base drop rate 0.10%, 1000 multiplier needed
• Ultimate: Sprog. Base drop rate 0.10%, 1000 multiplier needed
• Noise 23 (Death Metal Mink):
• Easy: Pavo Real. Base drop rate 0.05%, 2000 multiplier needed
• Hard: Pavo Real. Base drop rate 0.10%, 1000 multiplier needed
• Noise 24 (Shrew Wave):
• Normal: Egg Bomb. Base drop rate 0.09%, 1112 multiplier needed
• Noise 28 (Brit Popguin):

• Noise 45 (Doom Metal Drake):

• Noise 46 (Ragtime Drake):

• Noise 48 (Neoclassical Drake):

• Noise 57 (Carcinopunk):

### Obtaining Pins of Lower Difficulty LevelsEdit

Drops are normally determined by the current Difficulty you've set the game to, but if you fail the drop rate's chance then it tries to get the drops of lower Difficulty levels. It goes down through each difficulty drop rate until you do get a pin, or fail the Easy Difficulty Drop Rate and get nothing from that Noise.

So if you are on a higher Difficulty, then you may get a drop of a lower difficulty by:

• Fighting battles with few enough reductions to give less than 100% total drop rate.
• Losing a battle, then selecting "Retry on Easy"

Of course, you can also get drops from lower difficulties by changing to the lower Difficulty from the Phone Menu.
