The "Doomed" psych group attempts to inflict a status ailment on all enemies at the beginning of combat. In the case of a chain battle, the psych activates at the start of each reduction.
A pin with a Doomed psych does not guarantee the status ailment. A Doomed+ Pin will always inflict its status ailment on enemies, unless the enemies are immune to the status condition.
The Doomed psych is almosty entirely made up of Pavo Real pins.
